Over the past two centuries, The Vineyard has proudly evolved into one of the most environmentally-friendly, progressive hotels in Cape Town. Taking the lead from the original owner, we have developed and adapted into the progressive hotel that you see before you today. As an award-winning leader in responsible hoteling, we have a number of sustainability initiatives. On the property we have 80 solar panels, are supplied with green energy from the Darling Wind Farm, we harvest grey water and recycle 98% of our waste. We are also a certified member of Fair Trade Tourism involved in a number of organizations such the Event Greening Forum, of which we are founding members, we are also a member of BirdLife SA and Eco Atlas, support the Table Mountain National Park in its efforts to clear alien vegetation to name a few.
