Skills Village is made up of 12 character buildings on  the eastern edge of the Inner City of Johannesburg - working towards a cooperative youth driven model.  A physical and virtual space and framework for workplace experience to capacitate youth  to plan, prepare and produce small festivals and events that identify and bring to market commodities, goods, services and experiences unique to the local community.   Events build ‘communitas’ – a sense of belonging and workplace experience builds capacity – thus using events to increase the socio-economic and environmental health and wealth of local communities. The vision is a shared value social circular experience economy that can make a difference in the lives empowered in the process.
