The South African Roadies Association (SARA) was establish in 1992 Founded by the current Association President, Mr. Freddie Nyathela and a few fellow ‘roadies’ that believed in what they saw as a viable industry that could provide employment and technical abilities to many youth in search of a career, and has grown in its scope to a lot more than an industry association. Among its other activities, SARA also provides training and career development at a level that would be the envy of any European or American music tech industry.
