Fair Trade Tourism is a non-profit organisation promoting best-practice responsible tourism in Africa. We grow awareness about responsible tourism in Africa and assist tourism businesses to operate more sustainably through our membership and certification programmes. Fair Trade Tourism certifies tourism businesses in South Africa, Madagascar, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, and has formal recognition agreements with equivalently benchmarked certification programmes in Namibia, Seychelles, Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania. Fair Trade Tourism runs a membership programme for tourism businesses that are keen to embark on the path towards best-practice sustainability and need toolkits and business development services to assist them.
