From local bike shops and bike-friendly coffee spots to off-the-beaten-track cycling destinations, bikepacking adventures, events, and epic routes and places to stay – Bicycle South has been designed to enrich your ride and fuel your wanderlust.What began in 2012 as a campaign to grow Cape Town’s bicycle culture has since evolved and expanded beyond the city limits – inspiring two-wheeled adventure and everyday cycling across South Africa. Through our active campaigns and Bike Friendly Certification Programme (a first for South Africa), we are promoting a countrywide network of bike friendly businesses and destinations, while empowering more people to cycle. Bicycle South is endorsed and supported by a dynamic group of partner organisations both in the tourism and cycle industry.
